For Kids 3 to 15 years. Grimm's 60 piece Counting Blocks set is a beautiful set of colored
wooden
counting
blocks. These beautiful blocks have the colors of the rainbow and are colored with non-toxic,
water
based dyes. These blocks are un-lacquered for additional
sensory
stimulation and it will also make the blocks less slippery (easier stacking).
Made in
Germany
by GRIMM's Wooden European Toys. The stepped
counting
blocks come in the basic form of 2 x 2 cm and 4 x 4 cm (this set has a 2 x 2 cm base) and are frequently found in Waldorf Schools and Montessori Schools. Both forms are used for
building
and playing, whilst learning the correct order of the rainbow and the feeling for colors. Children ages 3 and up will learn the difference between length and width as well as spatial thinking. Counting blocks can also be used as simple
counting
machine.
Please note that the small blocks in this set makes it not appropriate for small children under the age of 3 years old. These
counting
rods will not only assist in spatial development and learning of mathematical concepts, the size of the smaller blocks in the set will contribute to fine-motor development and pincher grip. SKU 42050.
