Is any assembly necessary for the Skuut?
The Skuut comes fully assembled except for the handlebars and front wheel, which are easily attached to the Skuut. Instructions are provided. All you need is a screwdriver and the Skuut can be fully assembled in no time at all! The Skuut's tires might need to be inflated. They can tolerate up to 40PSI, but Skuut suggests 20-25 PSI for best shock absorption on the Skuut.
How do you Skuut?
It is very easy to skuut. Sitting on the Skuut, kids first walk the Skuut bike forward with their feet - tilting to one side or the other and their feet catch them like training wheels would.
As they get more confident on the Skuut and their balance improve, they will go faster and start lifting their feet off the ground for longer and longer periods of time, ultimately being able to pull both feet off the ground and coast on the Skuut. Braking the Skuut is done Fred Flintstone style: kids just put their feet down and stop.

Our two year old is about 40 inches tall and his feet are just about flat on the floor when the seat is in the lowest position on the Skuut.
BUT - The innovative design of the Skuut allows you to assemble the Skuut with the middle bar upside down, lowering the seat by several inches when assembled - allowing children with shorter legs to be comfortable on the Skuut.
Please note small children may be reluctant to learn riding the Skuut if their feet are not flat on the ground when on the Skuut. They need to feel secure and confident since they are still developing their balance and having both feet securely on the ground give them the confidence they need to explore the different riding styles Skuut has to offer.
Is the seat on Skuut adjustable?
The seat is easily adjustable so children of all sizes can ride the Skuut.
How much does The Skuut balance bike weigh?The bike weighs about 10 lbs, and is well distributed, so it is easy to carry the Skuut when your toddler tires out.
