Haba's toys feature materials generally found in nature. Haba purchases their wood, primarily Maple and Beech wood from long-term regional partners. Wood is naturally resistant to bacteria which makes it a great material for toys especially baby toys, baby teethers and baby grasping toys.
Haba only uses baby safe, water-based ecological solvent free lacquers on the surfaces of their wooden toys. Multiple lacquer layers render the surface of the toy extremely resistant to humidity, saliva and wear and tear, allowing the toy to be taken from the hand to the mouth at any time.

Surprisingly Good Shannon from Canada 11/14/2008
This is a nice engaging toy for babies of all ages. I bought this for my 2 month old because I thought it would be light and easy to grasp. I figured this toy would last for a couple months until she got stronger, but she is 6 months now and still loves this toy, her and my 1 year old niece fight over this toy all the time.

My son likes to shake this rattle. When shaken, the sound is very soft. The colors are attractive and the toy is very durable. The pieces are attached with stretchy string, which is great for little hands to pull on.
